Environmental Protection
Environmental protection actions of the Operations and Management Center of the Amazonian Protection System (CENSIPAM) follow an integrated approach within the Amazonian territory. These actions include the development of studies and projects to evaluate and monitor the impact of anthropogenic action, along defined thematic themes (deforestation, lightning detection, and meteorology), as well as the application of geoprocessing and remote sensing techniques, both used to measure such impact and that of mitigating measures, supported by local logistics arrangements.
