Censipam’s database contains vector information of the Brazilian Legal Amazon, organized in a management system, which allows the user access to an extensive dataset. This information can be looked up in real-time and filtered with different thematic layers, which can be further combined for deeper analysis. 

Data is stored at a 1:250,000 scale, and includes the following themes: cartographic base data, geology, geomorphology, soil, vegetation, socio-economics, biodiversity, and rain and river measurement. Besides the vector base, the system possesses satellite and airborne sensor imagery, as well as weather-related information, to support CENSIPAM in accomplishing its mission. 

Through the GEONETWORK, Geonetwork application, integrated geographic information can be browsed from Censipam’s up-to-date database of the Brazilian Legal Amazon.

O INTERMAP is a tool that offers an initial interface model for displaying geographic information, allowing the user to combine maps from interactive servers around the world, without the need to know complex syntax languages or database structures. Searching and downloading maps stored on the server is also available through Intermap.
